If you're reading this blog then you too like nail polish *high five. But when does "like" become crazy. I don't know and don't care. But I have to say bringing this much nail polish:
on a 4 day trip might be slightly weird to a nuggle (... and yes thats borrowed from HP's muggle. Since muggles are non magic folk, I take the m to stand for magic, so it only seems right to replace it with an n for non nail folks.)
Anyway, 7 basecoat/topcoats, really?! Yes, really. All necessary depending on the color brand being used at the time.
I would say I change my nail polish on average twice a week, so why so much for a 4 day trip? The problem is I never know what mood I will be in. I try to be prepared and plan what I think I maybe into for the next few days. Besides I can always buy something if I have nothing that I am happy with.
I even scaled back on this trip because there is a freaking awesome beauty supply place near my destination which I know I can always hit up.
Are you a nuggle?
At least you didn't do what I did when I went to Vegas- I brought about 4 polishes with me. But when I got there- I didn't want to wear any of them so I bought about 30 or so. :)
ReplyDeleteBahahahaha, awesome, I so would have done that!!!
ReplyDeleteHahah lol
ReplyDeleteI haven't taken a trip since starting this polish obsession of mine, so I have no clue how many I'd take along. It's your thing. Some people take waaaay too many clothes. You take nail polish. At least they don't take up much room!
ReplyDeleteI think I would take base/topcoats and buy a whole new polish wardrobe when I got there! But I have a problem. :P
ReplyDeleteBefore being converted to a nail fanatic, that amount would have seemed excessive to me. Not now though. I'm going away for two weeks soon...I may need a separate case for my polish!
ReplyDeleteWhat? Sorry. I was too busy trying to see which base/topcoats you use and decipher what is in the Pro Strong bottle. The amount of polish definitely seems OK to me. I'm sure I'll be the same way if I survive my acrylic damage.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I have the same problem with shoes. I have been known to travel with five outfits and 25 pair of shoes. Why not?
That looks like what I empty out of my purse when I clean it. I can't imagine what I will take when I finally take a real trip.
ReplyDeleteHigh five right back at ya!!!
ReplyDelete@Diana - :D
ReplyDelete@Megan - totally agree, I love the compact nature of polish ... shoes on the other hand ... not so much
@jaybird - totes a good idea!
@Ash-Lilly - f! two weeks! Yea you need a separate case :p
@Anonymous - lol, the Prostrong bottle now holds acetone (same with the smaller bottle next to it). I am totally a product hooker. I like a lot and buy a lot of base and top coats. Each one has it's useful purpose ... Holy grail shmail ... not with basecoat/topcoat.
Shoes are the worst, they take up so much room ... but it's all very necessary!
@turtlechick12 - lol, yea man, take pictures I wanna see!!! :D
@GothamPolish - skank you! :p
ReplyDeleteI can totally get behind bringing multiple shades with me (anywhere! I often do my nails at parties, at work, wherever so I usually have three+ shades at my disposal at all times lol), but I never thought of bringing (or really, owning) multiple base/top coats. I have one of each. Again with the handy info!!
ReplyDeleteI'm leaving at 3:30 for a trip and I'm taking the entire Arsenal; three sterilite boxes, about 100 bottles. I would have taken half a dozen but my friend who lives there said, hey! Lets get together and do nails while you are here! So I have a wheelie suitcase full of np and another one full of everything else.
ReplyDelete@beauty-obsessed fo' sho' :D
ReplyDelete@Shieldmaiden96 - Oh man O_O. I'm guessing this is a trip for pleasure AND she asked you to bring stuff, well then you gotta BRING IT and represent for all of us!! My silly stash for my business trip pales in comparison lol
*high five* i know how you feel and i think its normal >.< as for me i change my nail polish everyday and nail polish hunt at least twice a day. hahaha
ReplyDeleteOh Loodie... there must be something wrong with me. (I may need to seek professional help). When I travel, I usually go for an American mani, so my nails will always go with whatever I am wearing. When we travel to somewhere tropical, and I'll be wearing strong bug repellant, I don't wear polish at all, as the repellant just eats right through it and makes a horrible mess. I found that out when I didn't remove the polish on my toes, and then sprayed myself with repellant. The polish turned gooey and disgusting! I'd rather go without the polish then the bug repellant!!
