Day 1 |
3 coats, maybe 4. Perhaps it was the coffee talking, but I had some issues with streakiness. Still the color was just so calming.
Day 1 |
After a little top coat everything was golden ... no pink.
Day 1 |
And then I bought Revlon - Popular (aka Revlon - Starry Pink) and thought it would be a perfect compliment.
Day 4 |
Son, I was not disappointed.
1 thick coat topped with top coat.
Day 6 |
At some point I started noticing the dreaded regrowth at the cuticle *shudders*, and some tip wear.
Day 6 |
Also some chippage on the thumbs.
Day 6 |
But honestly the wear was only visible in macro mode. That combined with how pretty it was and my lazziness ....
I slapped on some top coat and called it a night.
Day 7 |
However, the next day I could not ignore it any longer ... the regrowth was taunting me ... very loudly.
Mani Dead.
You wore it out! I love it. You and your hot nails. *eye roll*
ReplyDeleteLove the soft shades on your beautiful nail! now i need that combo too!!
ReplyDelete7 days, that's a nice accomplishment! And a gorgeous manicure <3.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, my polish peels up esp when I'm using a lot of shea butter on my cuticles-I just slap on some base coat and glue it right back on. Have lost a whole nail before-laziness just glued it right back on. No one knows the difference! But you can't hide regrowth. Haven't come up with a solution for that one yet!
ReplyDeleteI get such amazing wear out of Revlons! Tis gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow seven days! That is impressive :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely combination! Love when polishes last that long :D
ReplyDeleteGOOD LORD, 7 days of regrowth???? That is like 7 months of regrowth for me!! LOL. -hates you-
ReplyDeleteYeah, the regrowth is a bitch. I can't stand it after day 5. But i'm very impressed by how mani held up!
ReplyDeleteThat's when you do a Ruffian, Loodie! :D
ReplyDeleteThis is making me crave a lovely soft pink manicure. Looks so good on you!
ReplyDeleteWowee your nails grow so fast!!! :O
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL nails!!! :D I love the polishes you used, they are so pretty!!
Beautiful mani! And I'm impressed with how long it lasted :)
ReplyDeleteWow, 7 days! I usually go bonkers after 3-4! I'm not a huge fan of sheer pinks but really like the end result with Starry pink...very fairyesque!
ReplyDeleteThis combo looks so amazing on you! Nice save, by the way!I had a mani (Revlon silver penny base!) last a full week-I was bored but lazy too-the gappage was NOT pretty. My only save is usually some SV topcoat or a dab of color on the bad chip and then some SV.
ReplyDeleteYour nails are perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteBut it looked amazing! ;)
ReplyDeleteYour nails look lovely!! I love Starry Pink/Popular! :)
ReplyDeleteThe regrowth would have been taunting me too!
So pretty but 7 days wow
ReplyDeleteI could never go that long!! I just couldn't do it, I get so bored, even when I'm lazy! lol! Isn't Starry Pink/Popular gorgeous! Love that color!
ReplyDeleteThat's one beautiful mani. ♥ Your nails look amazing!
ReplyDeleteit's really pretty with glitter on, but 7 days oh I've never ever had one nail polish on for so long, usually after a day or two I already get tired of the color
ReplyDeleteI love that soft pink, so shiny!! Glittery top coats are great to revamp a mani you don't want/are too lazy to remove :-P
ReplyDeleteBut hey 7 days are really a long time for a mani, and it's amazing there's almost no tipwear!!
Poo you didn't get great wear but it's a pretty combo - I've only worn 'Starry Pink' or 'Popular' on it's own with three coats and had great results with the wear.
ReplyDeletei love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI see why you love the classic manis - that pink on its own is stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Starry Pink looks awesome over that pink! Major nail envy! :D
ReplyDeleteThose copper and ruby colors are delish! Great stuff...you are too cute;)
