Comparison time! A few minty pastel blue/green colors:
China Glaze - For Audrey
Essie - Mint Candy Apple
Elf - Blue Mist
Revlon - Minted
Illamasqa - Nomad
Clearly Illamasqua is the sore thumb. I had to give him extra hugs because he felt so out of place.
I finally bought this baby!!
China Glaze - For Audrey
Sunlight
If only this purchase from China Glaze actually came with something from Tiffany's. *sigh*

Comparison
Index: China Glaze - For Audrey
Middle: Elf - Blue Mist
Ring: Essie - Mint Candy Apple
Pinky: China Glaze - For Audrey
In terms of color, Elf and Essie seem close, but are different. I guess it depends on how strict you want to be. Elf is muted, Essie is a brighter more true pastel.
The formulas on all of these varied dramatically.
Middle: Elf - Blue Mist
sheer and creamy (4 coats)
Ring: Essie - Mint Candy Apple
opaque and chalky (2 or 3 coats)
Pinky: China Glaze - For Audrey
standard cream (2 coats)
Here they all are.
Pinky: Elf - Blue Mist
Ring: Revlon - Minted
(sheer and creamy 3 coats)
Middle: Illamasqua - Nomad
(standard cream 2 coats)
Pointer: Essie - Mint Candy Apple
Thumb: China Glaze - For Audrey
Illamasqua and Revlon are more green leaning (middle and ring), while the others are more blue leaning.
I think pretty much every company makes a minty blue/green pastel. Which is your favorite color or formula?
ooo nice to see nomad is so different.. purchase confirmedd
ReplyDeleteI love these colors and own all except the Elf and Illamasqua ones. For Audrey looks absolutely fantastic on you. Oh, and your nails, I mean your NAILS! they are incredible :) Chocolate smooch
ReplyDeleteMy fav. is china glaze refresh mint. I should prob. get For Audrey. I love your swatches!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Mint Candy Apple... I have four bottles... It's sad, really. Lol. I like China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint too. :]
ReplyDeleteI bought For Audrey but I returned it when I got home and saw that my Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-mint was like a perfect dupe, I exchanged it for something else. The WnW one applies pretty well too, I don't remember having any issues. I think it was 2 coats.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shades!! Of course I like most colors :)
ReplyDeleteColor Club Rad Nomad is a dupe for the W&W In Need a Refresh-Mint and For Audrey, too, but the formula isn't as good as either of those two. I love these new minty shades, but I keep buying them, and they keep being too similar!
ReplyDeleteI love the Revlon one! I still dont have For Audrey yet either, I need to get with the bloody programme.
ReplyDeleteI've got to get my hands on CG FOr Audrey!
ReplyDeleteI love your skin color. You can wear so many of the colors that I love but cannot wear because they look terrible with my skin color. Beautiful nails and I cant help but wonder how you apply polishes so perfectly? Maybe you could do a video for us?
ReplyDeleteThey are all gorgeous but I love the formula of For Audrey but I love the color of Revlon Minted.
ReplyDeleteI want to lick your nails! I sound kinky don't I?
ReplyDeleteoh now I really crave For Audrey, I've heard that it can have slightly tricky application
ReplyDeleteI'm actually wearing a minty polish right now :) I should get For Audrey.. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm groovin on For Audrey and Nomad....but all of them look gorgeous on you
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shades of Mint. I'd have to say China Glaze For Audrey is my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty
ReplyDeleteI'm living a turquoise obsession lol so I love all! I have Cult Nails Manipullative, which I think is more blue... I bought revlon sheer seafoam and they mean it when they say it't sheer!! I added some drops of white and of opi fly and is the perfect aqua jelly! The formula sucks haha but it's still beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo nice combooo ! I love CG :)..
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice blog dear..I following you now,i wish follow me back :)

Kisses From Turkeeey !! <3 Bye..
Hmm...I'm not sure Audrey would work for me, but I kind of want it to - it's sooo pretty! However...if I can't even find it, then I don't wanna know if it would be lovely or not, so...conundrum!
